Happy New Year! Or I should actually say, happy calendar New Year…

January is the month we all make commitments to ourselves about what we intend to manifest, but have you ever wondered why you have a hard time sticking to your New Year’s resolutions? Or why, as hard as you try to get new things started at the beginning of the year, the timing just doesn’t feel right? It is actually because the Gregorian calendar that we follow doesn’t take into consideration the placement of the stars and the moon, which directly effect our natural rhythms.

The first couple of weeks of January are still a time to rest, review and reflect. It’s the time to get really clear about what you are intending to manifest for yourself in the months ahead. So if you don’t feel motivated to start implementing change right now, you are not alone. Most of us feel a lack of motivation during this time of year. You have what I like to call a “grace period” now to ease into what you are intending. The energies will start to change when we celebrate the first new moon of the year on January 22nd. New moons always signify new beginnings.

I have studied manifestation techniques from masterful teachers over the years and while everyone agrees that manifestation works by aligning your thoughts, emotions and actions, there are a couple of tips I want to share with you that will help accelerate your process.

Listen to the guidance of your heart – Our deepest desires are found in the heart. The intelligence of the heart is far more powerful than that of the mind.

Visualize – Have a clear vision of what you intend while being willing to zig and zag a bit in order to achieve what you want. Being flexible will help dignify your process.

Feel – Your vision produces thoughts and those thoughts create feelings that magnetize what you are intending into your life. It is the basis for the Law of Attraction, which states, “that which is like unto itself is drawn.” Our vibrations are always matched.

Trust, Faith and Action – Have trust and faith that what you are intending is on the way. Commit to daily action steps towards what you intend to manifest and trust that the right people, places and things will show up to help you accomplish it.
